Looking Up and Beyond

Iย relate Spring Time as a season of rebirth. Coming from a tropical country where we only know of two seasons, I am quite amazed at actually seeing trees and plants grow their leaves after months of being frozen in snow. And the clear blue sky was just calming and awesome. How wonderful is God’s creation.

This is my view one Sunday afternoon when we went to Wascana Park in Regina City. Hubs and I were lazily sprawled in the grass while little Joaqs just enjoyed himself and his bike.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Express Yourself

soft focus light candle

Lighting a candle is our way of expressing our deepest prayers to God. For us Catholics, candles symbolize the light of Christ. I personally believe that lighting candles is a form of thanksgiving and reverence for Him.

Weekly Photo Challenge: SHADOWED

2013-12-21 19.09.38

During the Advent Season, we traditionally attend masses in the evening called the Simbang Gabi at our Cathedral. I particularly liked to go to the church because of the very attractive light works they put on the park. This photo is one of the decorated portions of the church, and this is the statue of St. Joseph, Jesus’ father on Earth.

Weekly Photo Challenge: NEW

So I thought I can brave myself to really come up with a daily post, but life really got into the way even before I could really start my resolution. With a new full time job, full time motherhood and all that jazz I have yet to master the art of multi-tasking.

I’m glad I still have a fall-back, the weekly photo challenge, and yet I am also late with just a week but I can still catch up. So this is my take on the theme NEW:

This is our new family member Jai-jai. This is going to be the first time that I am really hand-on in taking care of a pet. My son loves her, and it’s such a delight seeing them play.
